Serenity behavioral health georgia12/30/2023 What I have learned thus far since embarking in the working industry is Self-Reliance, interpersonal skills, problem-solving skills, commercial Awareness, maturity, teamwork, practical Skills, and self-confidence believing I can achieve anything. Throughout the day I completed various administrative duties as well, including answering phones, drafting documents and emails, I also provided strong customer service and resolved different issues such as CIR's. Lastly if you attend college, you don’t have many options for a work schedule as the company DOES NOT care or work around your school schedule.Ī typical day in my position I fulfilled several different tasks of assisting individuals in the Host Home Department. It’s an ok place to work however do not expect to always leave at the end of your shift and sometimes you will work 9-12days straight without a day off. Staff isn’t always friendly at all, you do have to watch out for coworkers mistakes (which can be blamed on you if you don’t catch the error fast enough). Also you will assist residents with personal hygiene and dressing if they’re incapable of doing those things for themselves. You will be cooking, cleaning, shopping, running errands for the house. You have to pass out medication which is very easy and common sense based. You’ll have to stay over and/or work doubles (16hrs) because staff always calls in and that leaves the person who should be getting off, to stay until someone can come to the home. Some house managers are ok but there are some that’s not friendly or professional.
